Tennessee is scheduled to open the 2020 football season against South Carolina on Sept. 26 in Columbia, the SEC announced Monday.
Game times and television assignments for those Week 1 games have not been announced.
The order and dates for Tennessee’s other nine opponents will be revealed at 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. The SEC delayed the start of the season and moved to a 10-game, conference-only scheduling format because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Vols will begin practice on Monday. Teams are allowed to have 25 practices during the 40 days leading up to the season opener.
The SEC is among six FBS conferences still planning to play a season in 2020.
Tennessee beat South Carolina 41-21 last season to launch a six-game winning streak to close the season.
